It's the party season and we at Camp Hill wanted to create Christmas parties that you and your colleagues would remember all the way into the New Year! With it being our first ever year doing them for different companies, we wanted to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted so we could make it the perfect Alpine Ski Lodge - themed Christmas Party!
For the two parties we held, the first being on 02/12/16 for Froneri Ice Cream and the second one being on 09/12/16 for Cargill, it took a lot of planning, organisation and mainly great team work to bring everything together. From paper snowflakes, to live bands, to tea lights, to Christmas trees and LOTS of fairy lights, it was not long before we had it looking like an Alpine Ski Lodge out of Austria.
The idea for an Alpine Ski Lodge - themed Christmas party was due to Camp Hill holding plenty of Winter sport memorbilia that we could use to create something special. The ski's, bobsleighs, tobbogans and Luges all came from Bruce Ropner, the former chairman of the British Bobsleigh Association who has recruited and trained young bobsleigh athletes at Camp Hill, which is owned by his son, Robert.
This memorabilia has been collected over many years and it allowed us to create a nostalgic world of a bygone era with a truly atmospheric Apres-Ski Bar. We wanted to really give the sense that you were not just in the heart of North Yorkshire but in fact somewhere in the Alps in an Austrian Ski Lodge. We did this by bringing together lots of ideas and using all kinds of accessories to get the atmosphere of an Apres Ski bar.
As well as all of the accessories used to dress the barn to turn it into a winter wonderland, we had a bobsleigh selfie booth for both parties. Moreover, we wanted to be as flexible as possible in terms of what we could provide on top of the Alpine Ski Lodge theme so, we put in a santa's grotto for Cargill and a street food stall for Froneri Ice Cream and we are pleased to say that they were extremely happy with the outcome!
We are pleased to say that the feedback we have recieved from both companies has all been very positive, this is what Cargill told us the day after they were here:
"What can I say other than what a fabulous evening and a huge thanks to you and your team. The venue looked stunning you did an amazing job we couldn't have been happier!
You have an incredibly unique venue and I look forward to working with you again. I think there was some confusion on the bar around soft drinks but it was quickly sorted."
So if you are looking for a truly unique Christmas party for your company next year, then look no further (well have a look at the pictures below of course!) As we will give you a party that promises to be a night that you will not quickly forget at all.
