Raft Build

Helicopter flights

Sit back, relax and enjoy taking in the sights of picturesque Yorkshire by air! It's not every day you get to see the stunning North Yorkshire Moors and Yorkshire Dales from a birds eye view. This truly is an experience of a lifetime.

Bicycle Polo

We provide a referee and commentator, marquee for tea, and bicycles, sticks and balls. The game is played on a polo sized pitch. Four players per team required. No previous experience required (so long as you can ride a bike) – it's designed to bring out the competitive streak in us all! £50 per player, based on 8 playing. Includes four chukkas, with an interval for tea.

Gnat Shooting

Gnat Shooting will not fail to provide a unique finale to a day with us. Gnat Shooting is essentially shooting shotguns at model aircraft which are radio controlled and flown by experts. This activity is ideal for corporate entertainment, staff days or part of a multi activity day.

Duck herding

'Never work with children or animals', goes the saying. Trying to control this unruly bunch is certainly testament to those wise words. With the aid of a sheepdog, competitors try to steer the ducks or geese through a selection of obstacles, such as a Maltese cross, tunnel or water slide.

The first problem is mastering the commands to control the dog, and then things get really challenging!

This is an amusing introduction to the world of working dogs amiably overseen by a quietly unflappable expert.

Ferret Racing

An original way to entertain your team with these wonderful creatures. Guests become involved with the race, entering the ferret into the pipe course then dashing to the other end of the course encouraging their ferret to win the race. For added interest, Ferret Roulette is incorporated where the ferret is placed in a drum with a number of exits at the base and guests bet on which exit the ferret will appear from.

Bobcat digger driving

Instruction on driving and digging with a digger. You will be given a full breakdown on how to operate a digger as well as have the chance to experience the mechanics of digging. This activity and is great for staff days and team building or part of a multi-day activity.

Bobcat Slalom

Great fun and surprisingly fast and agile, a Bobcat is a 4 wheel drive skid-steer site vehicle with an hydraulic front scoop. The skid-steer control makes the Bobcat highly manoeuvrable and it will, literally, turn in its own axis. The competition, against the clock of course, involves a tortuous slalom with various roundabouts and gates which the teams will be required to negotiate in a "Team Tag" Relay.

Tractor driving

Learn to drive one of these monsters around an obstacle course. A fun packed activity and is guaranteed to thrill you! This activity and is great for client entertainment, staff days and team building.

Horse Riding

Guests can learn how to ride! No previous riding experience required! Our instructor will support and guide you through the basics of horse riding.

Tack and Turnout

Go head to head with colleagues to win the prestigious award of best turned out Horse! You will be coached beforehand in the skills required to turnout out an immaculate horse and it's tack – surprisingly hard work which requires a certain amount of nerve and elbow grease!

Sheep dog handling

Guests are instructed on the practical working skills of the dog on the farm using Turkeys as well as Geese. Ducks are then introduced and guests must try and get the dog to herd them around an obstacle course. Altogether a fun day and ideally suited for staff days or part of a multi activity day.

Falconry

The sport of Kings! A fascinating insight into this ancient sport, specially formatted to allow generous hands on experience for all participants. The expert guidance and tuition of one of the country's leading Falconers makes this an experience to remember.

Following a short introduction and demonstration by the Head Falconer, with an unusual and highly amusing show from some of the more extroverted birds to set the tone for the event, it will be the turn of your party to fly them.

Black Powder Trap Shooting

An interesting twist on the traditional Clay Shooting – our instructors wear traditional period costume and use original period guns and targets. Helium balloons are released from traps to simulate the original sport of pigeon trap shooting and flintlock guns are used. The very first artificial target is also simulated as glass balls are thrown from a trap – can also include Popinjay which is the 15th century sport of shooting artificial birds off their perches and Tomahawk throwing.

Chuckle Buggies

These are six wheeled, six wheel drive, vehicles of, almost literally, all terrain capability and are brilliant fun to drive as the handling of these little machines, which are skid steer by the way, is somewhat inconsistent. A team event, based on fastest team times with deductions for penalties.

Human Table Football

From the avid football fanatic to the office lazy bones, this event is guaranteed to have everyone joining and enjoying themselves. Human table football makes for a fantastic finale to a day of team building events.

Inflatable Volleyball

Think you can manage volleyball? How about inflatable volleyball! With the aid of a specially designed inflatable court, you can now get the jump that you always wanted to smash the ball that would have got away! Highly competitive and lots of fun, this event is sure to thrill!

Hovercraft Driving

The hovercraft provides an unusual test of co-ordination skills and an element of competition. Each hovercraft is managed by an experienced instructor who ensures the programme runs smoothly and the clients get the most out of the machines. These safe air cushion machines are easy to drive and promise an exciting and rewarding day out for everyone.

Mountain Biking

Mountain Biking with a twist! No matter what your experience is, your role will be pivotal in this challenge where everyone is involved.

Survival skills

Survival skills at Camp Hill can be tailored into a full or half day. For example: guests are introduced to their instructors and Survival Skills Experts. Participants will be split into their camps and will be given an area with an envelope containing instructions and details for the day or afternoon. Each camp is required to build a shelter, light a fire, cook a meal in order to earn as many points as possible in the given time. The camps will be competing against each other during the event. Teams will be awarded points on the methods used, the success/effectiveness of the methods, presentation. The team scoring the highest number of points by the close of the activity will be deemed the winners and receive a 'special' award. Teams may lose points accordingly i.e not completing a task. This is a fun and challenging activity which can be biased towards serious team building or just for fun!

Bush Craft

The proceedings are hosted by a friendly bushcraft expert who will introduce participants to a whole range of new skills and interests. These could include shelter building, fire building and lighting techniques, campfire cooking, wildlife observing, trap making.

Everything will be presented in an informal way, with nothing intimidating or physically demanding. The emphasis will be on fun and learning in a group environment.

Treasure Hunt

In a Treasure Hunt teams compete in an enjoyable and creative atmosphere working together to find the winning formula. The events include a combination of the solution of cryptic and pictorial clues with photographic and scavenger challenges. The challenges inspire a spirit of teamwork and skill management keeping everyone fully occupied and are set to a standard that is appreciated by all participants.

Hot Air Ballooning

Effectively the teams become "crew" to two professional C.A.A. registered Balloon Pilot Instructors who they are seconded to assist and who are taught the entire process of "rigging up", "tethering", "blow inflation" and "burning" their own balloon for tethered flight. The flight involves ascent and descent, with all techniques individually instructed by a fully qualified A.O.C./C.P.L. pilot instructor.

Reverse Steer 4x4

Using specially adapted, four wheel drive, Fiat Pandas; we are able to offer a real a real challenge to co-ordination and lateral thinking. Teams will be required to navigate around a specially designed obstacle course in the fastest possible time, using vehicles that turn left when turning right and right when turning left. Any possible forward mastery of the course will be defeated when attempted in reverse.

The Great Wall of China

This is a real trip down memory lane! Using Barnet catapults and ball bearings, you are faced with shelves of crockery of varying shapes and sizes, and quite simply you have to break as much as you can. Simplicity itself, but very addictive, and one activity where you will want to keep coming back for more. Different points are awarded for the degree of difficulty of targets. Bonus points can also be won by the level of destruction caused to each item of crockery.

Dragon Boat Racing

Corporate Dragon Boat Regattas are an exciting way of integrating and entertaining your clients and employees alike. With a diverse range of race programmes, teams compete in this ancient and exhilarating sport, racing in our colourful Dragon Boats against each other for the Dragon Boat Champions title.

It's a Knockout

Its a Knockout events are the best way letting off steam during or after a conference, leaving you with a day which will never be forgotten. The event is an excellent way of breaking the ice between company departments, boosting morale and having fun.

It's a Knockout can be tailored to suit events which have from 25 to 1,000 participants at locations throughout the UK and overseas. Choose from many of the original BBC It's a Knockout games seen in the massive 1970's and 80's television hit. The Kings from the Royal It's a Knockout, the incredible Damsels in Distress and the nations favourite - Penguin Pursuit!
