Looking for some Summer Lovin’?

Family Fun Events happening throughout the summer at Camp Hill Estate.

  • Posted On: 3 June 2016

Here at Camp Hill Estate it is our absolute aim to make sure that there is something for everyone, whether it is through the activities we run here, the sort of weddings we can put on or the events we plan and arrange for the year.

With the prices of holidays being so expensive during the summer months, we often choose to take the family away at other, less expensive times of the year. This can then mean we are looking for fun but cheap things to do for the whole gang to enjoy and we can ensure this is exactly the case if you make your way down to one of our events this summer.

1) An Evening of Shakespeare with the Handlebards 20/07/16 - 21/07/16

Pack a picnic and bring a blanket to watch 4 men, 4 bikes and some pretty extreme Shakespearean adventures. These four likely lads will be showcasing their theatrical talents Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st July 16 at The Camphill Estate.
The HandleBards do Shakespeare differently - cycling from venue to venue and using their bikes to power various surprises and contraptions on-stage, they play all the parts. They will be performing special comedic performances of Much Ado About Nothing and Richard III and we can promise that you will be in for a treat.

2) The Camp Hill 3rd Annual Sausage and Beer Festival 23/07/16

A great day of feeding your faces with some of the finest Bangers and Beers produced in Yorkshire. This year's Festival will have BBQ twist. With Live BandsUp to 20 local butchers supplying samples of their finest sausages A sausage making demonstration and A variety of different ales to buy throughout the day there will definitely be something to tickle everyone's tastebuds!

Not only that, there will be plenty of things for the kiddies to enjoy with A Bouncy CastleFace Painting and even a Dog agility course that will be fun to watch for all of the family.

With Friday and Saturday night camping available, submerge yourselves into the North Yorkshire countryside and enjoy a beer or a few with live music in the barn on the Friday night to get you in the mood for the main event on Saturday.

3) Kids Ceilidh in the Country 30/07/16

BIG Little Gigs is all about introducing children to the wonderful and varied world of live music through high quality performance that is enjoyable to all ages. We’re excited to present a Summer Special Kids Ceilidh at the beautiful Camp Hill Estate in Bedale. Let us introduce you to the gorgeous Bedale countryside, to embrace the British Summertime whilst enjoying some excellent live music and Ceilidh dancing with the Blind Panic Ceilidh Band.

The Ceilidh will be held in The Barn, so the show will go on come rain or shine! Make sure you pack your picnics, the estate is well worth exploring after or before the show. Your little ones can enjoy the Woodland Kingdom or have a treat at The Cafe which will be serving tea and cakes throughout the event.

4) Dubs In't Dales

Dubs In't Dales’ ever popular VW Festival is back for its 3rd year.

Anyone wishing to attend the "end of summer camp out" will have a choice of a full weekend from the Friday to Sunday or just the part weekend for Saturday and Sunday.

Ticket prices include either pitching your own tent or campervan, the choice is yours. You do not need to own a VW to attend, it’s a chilled out fun filled weekend for everyone and anyone!

Throughout the weekend we will have loads of VW's to admire, live music, Dub drive in the dales, show and shine, family fun and games, and great food and drink on offer. This year we have also introduced a new Body Holiday area with Sauna, Hot Tubs and holistic therapies, plus a Banquet Sunday carvery available in the Barn to re-fuel your bellies before hitting the roads homebound.

There will also be lots of other activities that you can have a go on such as Segway tours, Quadbiking, an adrenaline filled high ropes course and 650Ft Zip Wire - all at special discounted rates for Dubs In't Dales ticket holders.

A percentage of proceeds go to the Macmillan Cancer charity.

So as you can see, you will certainly get to experience some Summer Lovin' if you come down to Camp Hill estate for our events this season.
